"Devil Cats" rug hooking pattern.
 
All of my patterns are hand drawn on unbleached primitive linen with a generous 4 inch serged border.
 
This could easily be done in needle punch as well.
 
12 or 14 inch diameter - great little mat for candles, on tables alone or to rest things on.
 
I've owned a "devil cat" before- have you? Mine was yellow with 4 double paws and loved to leap out at me when I passed by a doorway- he was the definition of a devil cat.... I have owned lovely cats too.
 
I had some hand made bean bags when I was little with a face similar to these cats on them. I love how they look and thought I would make a pattern from that image.
 
  You don't have to make it a Halloween themed mat- you could use other colors and use it year round if you want.
